The Stars Shine At Night
Happy Day to You!
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful start to your week. I am! Just a little note to encourage you and to challenge all of us!
Have you noticed that with the right perspective, every challenge can become an opportunity? My theme this year is all about Regaining Your Ground and part of taking back your life is learning to see good even when bad things happen. It’s all about perspective.
This week, I want to challenge you to see opportunity! See the good even in tough times. I just came back from an exciting two week trip to Ghana, West Africa- my roots! I met so much family for the first time. I had sooooo many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins….so much family! It was beautiful…absolutely beautiful. Even though my reason for going was due to the passing away of my father…GOOD THINGS HAPPENED. I established new relationships with relatives that I had only seen in pictures. I was embraced by people in the city and villages of Kumasi, Ghanawho knew my dad. They treated me like royalty. I heard some of the GREATEST stories about my dad- things I never knew! All my aunts and uncles adopted me as their daughter. Even in that moment, I discovered NEW beauty…NEW relationships- another chapter of my life.
Relate that example to anything happening in your life- great or small. In tough times, the opportunity can present itself as CHANGE or NEW BEGINNINGS or AWAKENINGS or CLOSURE…the list goes on and on. Our job is to see the good or even create it if we need to.
Even in the darkest night, THE STARS SHINE.
p.s. I hope this week, you can see stars shine even if you are experiencing tough times. If you’d like to, email me or post a comment on my blog and let me know!!!
