How Are You Doing?

I gotta tell you- I LOVE the Wendy Williams show!  I think she’s HILARIOUS!  If you’ve watched the show, you’ll know her favorite saying is ‘HOW YOU DOIN’?’!! HILARIOUS!

Well, that is my question!  How are you doing?  How’s life going for you?  How are things moving along?

We are all WAY too busy and sometimes unfortunately, we don’t place our well-being as a PRIORITY.  Well, it’s time to do that!  It’s time to take inventory of how life is going for you so that you can make the necessary changes and the necessary adjustments to live a better life.

If you’re going to be effective in your business, on your job or in your life, you have to be truly honest with yourself about where you are.

Here is a simple way that you can take inventory of your life.

  1. Get a JOURNAL!  I’m a big fan of journaling.  I love to write down my feelings- the good, bad and ugly!  Getting in all down on paper is very therapeutic for me.
  2. Write down how you’re doing in key areas of your life.  Just jot down your thoughts quickly.  Don’t try to think too hard.  Write from your heart.  Here are the areas I assess:
    1. Family
    2. Spiritual
    3. Emotional
    4. Physical
    5. Career/Business
    6. Financial
  3. Take a step to fix areas that are GLARING!  Maybe you’re really not healthy emotionally.  Get help!  There is nothing wrong with reaching out to your close family and friends or maybe even a doctor to get your life moving in the right direction.

Let me tell you a little story.  A few years ago, I realized that I was letting my health slip.  It wasn’t anything major, but I wasn’t moving in the right direction at all.  I wasn’t eating right.  I wasn’t getting any sleep.  I wasn’t really drinking much water.  It was all because I was just not being aware.  I wasn’t taking the time to really think about my diet and I was spiraling into some really bad habits.  Not only was it affecting me physically, but it was spilling over into other areas.  I was frustrated, tired all of the time and always felt strained.  So a few years ago, I decided to really cut a lot of sugar out of my diet.  I instantly gained a lot of energy.  I then decided to start taking a B-complex which really helped to streamline me emotionally.  Your B-vitamins really affect your emotional health.  I also decided to drastically cut out starches.  I used to eat enough rice and bread to feed a small village!  It was weighing me down and making me feel heavy.  I decided to cut starch from the beginning of my day and eat a salad for lunch.  Just a few small changes have made a big difference in my life.

That is just a little example of how taking inventory can help you move forward in your life!  Taking inventory helps you to see where there might be key issues that are holding you back!

You are important enough to take care of yourself.  I hope you take inventory of where you are in your life and make the necessary changes to move in the write direction!
